Deployed 5 Million Kuwaiti Dinars to procure necessary medical equipment such as ventilators and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to support the Ministry of Health (MOH) and other authorities during the epidemic.Close
Through its various connection with international centers of excellence in academia and research, and in cooperation with MOH, KFAS has proposed and pledged to support of the creation of an “International Panel of Experts in Public Health and Epidemiology” to support the decision-making process with international best practices.
Funded research conducted at Dasman Diabetes Institute (DDI) to develop an in-house COVID-19 RT-PCR based Diagnostics Kit, as well as carry a SARS-CoV-2 sequencing and genetic characterization of the full-length genome in Kuwait.
Partnered with Amiri Training Center and Life Science Academy - a subsidiary of ENTEC to to the train a wide range of medical specialties and background on a COVID-19 crash course.
Supported efforts by Kuwaiti researchers to create projection models to inform MOH policy making.
Announced a special call for research proposals that tackle the immediate health concerns and field innovations in Kuwait with an expedited review process.
